Honda Accord Aftermarket CD Player Installation Instructions

The Accord has been the flagship sedan for Honda for over 30 years. The stock stereo within the Accord has evolved from an AM/FM stereo radio to a DVD participant and GPS navigation unit within the newer models. Honda Accord owners who wish to substitute their stock stereo programs with an aftermarket CD player have many choices from which to choose. Select the CD player that matches your needs and fits within your budget. Purchase the appropriate wiring adapters and stereo dock adapters, and install the deck yourself.

Honda Accord Aftermarket CD Player Installation Instructions

1. Pull the hood release lever under the dashboard on the driver’s side of the Accord and raise the hood.
2. Loosen the bolt that holds the negative battery cable to the negative battery lead publish with a ten-mm wrench or set of pliers. Remove the cable from the negative battery terminal to avoid shorting the Accord’s electrical system or damaging your new CD player throughout installation.
3. Pry the small sprint panel, located between the air vents on the prime-middle of the dashboard, away from the sprint with a trim pry tool. Unplug the wiring connectors to the again of the panel and set the small panel aside.
4. Take away the screw behind the panel with a Phillips head screwdriver.
5. Remove the 2 screws on the bottom fringe of the trim panel surrounding the radio with the screwdriver. Pull the plastic panel from the dashboard.
6. Remove the 4 screws around the stereo with the screwdriver or eight-mm socket and nut driver.
7. Disconnect the 2 wiring connectors from the rear panel of the manufacturing unit stereo. Unplug the antenna cable from the back panel of the stock radio.
8. Place the installation kit faceplate adapter into the vacant stereo mounting dock. Pull the stereo wiring teams through to the entrance of the Accord’s dash.
9. Plug the plastic connectors at the end of the Honda’s stereo wiring to the wiring harness adapter.
10. Plug the 2 wiring harness adapter connectors into the retailers on the again of the aftermarket CD player. Plug the antenna wire into the FM antenna outlet on the appropriate side of the CD player’s rear panel.
11. Slide the CD player into the faceplate adapter till it snaps into place.
12. Change the plastic sprint panel across the stereo dock. Screw within the two screws on the bottom fringe of the panel. Screw within the single screw in the opening on the top of the panel, between the vents, with the screwdriver.
13. Join the wiring to the again of the small dash panel (the vehicle’s dash clock) and insert the panel into the opening on the bigger dash panel. Press firmly to snap the panel again into place. Return to the Accord’s engine compartment.
14. Place the negative battery cable clamp around the negative battery terminal lead. Tighten the bolt on the cable’s clamp to safe the cable to the negative lead post. Shut the Honda’s hood.
